This shot of David Bowie with his band was taken during the Jean Genie Music video shoot which Mick Rock shot and directed in San Francisco while in the US on the Ziggy Stardust tour. Bowie played the Winterland Ballroom for two nights in October while they shot the video during the day.

Mick Rock also produced and directed music videos for the classic Bowie songs: “John, I’m Only Dancing”, “Space Oddity” and “Life On Mars?”.
