About the image
George rests his hand on his chin in while wearing a kurta, both he and Pattie are adorned with garlands of red and gold marigolds. Of all the Beatles that Paul Saltzman met on his retreat to the Rishikesh ashram, he says that George took Maharishi's meditative practices and teachings most seriously. George changed Paul's life one afternoon after playing the sitar for him. George told Paul where to find himself - "not outside myself, in money or fame or anything else external, but within myself". Paul never forgot this lesson.
