About the image
John Lennon rests his nose on the bridge of his Martin D-28 acoustic guitar while Paul looks away. During their time at the ashram, the Beatles not only meditated and listened to lectures from spiritual leader Maharishi but they also wrote, practised and played music. The Beatles devised the music for The White Album whilst at the ashram, and when asked how many songs in total they made during their retreat their answer was forty-eight.
