This portrait of John Lennon was taken in mid-March, 1965 during the shooting of the Beatles film Help! in Obertauern, Austria. He is pictured wearing one of his now iconic velvet caps.
The Beatles shot Help! on location in Obertauern, Austria for nearly two weeks in March, 1965 after two weeks of shooting in the Bahamas. The many hours of shooting in snow were countered with a lot of goofing around as was typical for the Beatles whenever they had the opportunity.
