Catherine Deneuve is captured here wearing a Mod knee-length coat-dress circa 1965. This same year Deneuve starred in Repulsion, directed by Roman Polanski, with whom Hatami became friendly along with his Sharon Tate.

She went on to star in the film she is best-known for, Luis Buñuel's Belle de Jour, in 1967. This film won the Golden Lion at the 1967 Venice Film Festival.
