About the image
Ringo Starr backstage at the legendary Cavern Club in 1963. The venue is world famous thanks to the Beatles, who debuted there in 1961. The first Beat night at the club was held on May 25, 1960 and featured a performance by Rory Storm and the Hurricanes (which included Ringo Starr as drummer).

Hatami was sent to Liverpool by Paris Match magazine to cover the Beatlemania phenomenon, where he managed to gain access backstage at the legendary Cavern Club and shot several amazing images of the "Fab Four" both individually, and together as seen here.

Collector's Note:
Very few Hatami photographs were printed and signed, prepared for show and sale, before his death.
