Prince Red Triptych Backstage on the Musicology Tour Summer, 2004

"I shot these images backstage at one of the venues in a room the size of a closet." Afshin remembers that he needed these photographs for a magazine spread with a very tight deadline and instead of printing them himself to his color and tone specifications, he sent them along directly with instructions. As it turned out, one of the images was used on the cover and in his words "I was sure I was going to lose my job. The picture was so blown out that the images didn't look like Prince. It was horrible."
