Steve's profile is cast in shadow and the contours of his face boldly contrast the snowy, mountainous backdrop of Yellowstone Lake. Instead, the camera focuses on the details of his trademark cowboy hat which has a green and red feather sticking out from the rim. Some of Barbara's favorite photographs of Steve were taken at Yellowstone where the couple stopped on a whim on their drive home from Montana.
