About the image
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page is famous for playing his Fender Telecaster (and later his Gibson Les Paul) guitar with a violin bow, as on the live versions of "Dazed and Confused" and "How Many More Times." This was a technique he developed during his session days, demonstrated in this performance shot from 1977.
